“Movement”, the essence of motion, serves as a metaphor for navigating challenges and transitions - from one point to the next, through walking, running, or leaping. It reflects growth and resilience in our daily lives. This exhibition invites visitors to journey into a parallel dimension, exploring the use of intellect and inner potential to overcome pressures and obstacles with imagination as the guide.

At the heart of this narrative stands “Jump”, a central character whose fingerprint-adorned chest symbolizes a scanner unlocking the chains of life’s burdens. The gradient of yellow on its head embodies the glow of dawn, a symbol of hope and a welcoming embrace of each new day. Meanwhile, the blue hue covering Jump signifies courage and determination, turning challenges into stepping stones of progress. Through trials and tribulations, Jump exemplifies how experiences enrich our creativity and fuel personal growth.

About the Artist

ANST - these four letters are drawn from the name “Anusorn Thonthong”, forming the word ‘ANST’, or ‘answer’, and perhaps it might just be the answer you have been searching for.

Anusorn’s creations primarily narrate stories of overcoming life’s challenges, with a central character named “JUMPED”. This unique figure is defined by a network of parallel lines that transverse its form, resembling the intricate patterns of fingerprint - a metaphor for the instinct to live, infused into the artwork by the artist. These lines symbolize the resilience and battles faced along the journey of life.

In his 2022 collection, Anusorn’s work took a transformative turn, embracing vibrant colors to infuse positivity into both creator and viewer. Drawing inspiration from everyday elements, he reimagines them as metaphors for life’s trials. For instance, the color test strips from ink printers - used to measure print quality - become symbolic of life’s testing moments. Traffic signs evolve the idea of life as a continuous journey. Meanwhile, monochromatic tones reflect the duality of existence: the good within the bad, and the bad within the good. Through these symbolic elements, Anusorn crafts artworks that express unyielding emotions and a refusal to surrender, celebrating the strength to confront and navigate every rhythm of life.
